Courageous Conference for Men

So tomorrow it’s happening!

What began as a simple conversation with one of the men in church many months ago becomes a reality in less than 24 hours time.

The Courageous Conference for Men takes place at the Cwmbran Congress Theatre tomorrow and it promises to be a special day. I am privileged to be one of the speakers, alongside former Chelsea and QPR football star Gavin Peacock and Mez McConnell of 20 Schemes. There will also be seminars featuring Rob Parsons from Care for the Family, James Richards from Hill City Church and Nathan Davies from CAP. A great collection of books and other quality resources will be available on the day courtesy of the Good Book Company and coffee will kindly be provided by Starbucks!

As one of the pastors of Hill City I am so proud of the men of the church who have worked tirelessly behind the scenes for many months and pretty much every single man in the church will be serving at the conference tomorrow. It’s pretty crazy that as a small local church from the valleys we have been able to organise and host a conference that will see hundreds of men gather together to worship and be changed by God’s Word. However, we couldn’t be doing it were it not for the partnership and support of many other churches, musicians and pastors in the local area, for whom we are especially grateful.

Tickets have sold incredibly well and we anticipate a great crowd tomorrow. However, there are still some tickets left so if you’d like to come you may be able to pay on the door.

Please do pray for us tomorrow. We really do want Courageous to be a significant day for the hundreds of men who will be with us. As the website says:

“Our prayer is that the legacy of Courageous will be an army of Spirit-filled, courageous men inspired and equipped to love their families, serve their churches, reach their friends and impact their communities for the glory of Jesus.”
